Wandering eyes

I promised a post, and I will deliver.

I have been reading a lot, and I have encountered a lot of interesting characters that I would love to draw, but a special one came to mind: August Pullman from the book "Wonder" by R.J Palacio.

The story is about this kid, who was born... deformed, that is what it is, and although he has had a lot of surgeries, he is still is very weird looking. I loved this character.

So, of course, I wanted to draw him, and here he is:

I think I was a little kind to him (in this drawing). In the book he describes himself as truly horrific, and he does not look horrific in this weird interpretation that my mind and hands created. But I still feel like in way, it is him; with is wandering eyes, tortoise mouth and weird ears.

Excuses, but good ones.

Hello my long lost friends.

I know I have been gone for a while. 

The most terrible and amazing thing has happened: I am full time (paid) writer. Hurray for me, but also, not hurray for me. Because this means that I no longer have as much time as I wish I had to write things for me (my stories) and to share them with you.

I know it seems like a lame excuse, “dude, you should find time to write what you love”, and blah, blah. But the truth is I spend most of my time writing, so when I do have free time for myself, the last thing I want to do is… well, write. This, of course, does not mean I am giving up on the blog. I will be uploading more stuff, very soon.

Just, please don’t give up on me.
